Responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Manufacturing Engineer to apply their knowledge to a growing production floor. The ideal candidate is an engineer who understands lean principles, JIT, and is willing to question the process. This role provides an opportunity to maintain your skillset while be part of cutting-edge technology aimed at addressing robotic, cold storage needs.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support department initiatives/ company goals.
  • Support company on existing products, this includes Service, Manufacturing, and Sales.
  • Research and develop new solutions as defined by customers or Product Manager.
  • Utilize change management process for all product changes.
  • Support field installations and system issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Commitment to complying with environmental and safety best practices.
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform engineering analysis.
  • Familiarity with commonly used analysis tools (e.g. FEA, DFM, etc).
  • Good understanding in tolerancing and dimensioning (GD&T).
  • Completed a minimum of two product life cycles (from concept to production) as a key contributor.
  • Knowledge of machining, fabrication processes for metals and commonly used plastics. 
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Self-starter.
  • Able to work independently with a minimum supervision or direction.

Education/Experience

  • BSME/MSME or equivalent combination of experience and education required.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in new product development or sustaining engineering role required.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of design experience with capital/process equipment and small products with significant mechanisms and robotics automation required.
  • Experience in designing complex electro-mechanical products preferred.
  • Experienced user of SolidWorks CAD is a must, PDM is an added benefit preferred.
  • Manufacturing process experience (i.e. Injection Molding, Extrusion, Metal Forming & Stamping) preferred.
  • ISO 9000, ISO 13485, and cGMP experience preferred.
  • Sheet metal and plastic injection design experience preferred.

Additional Information

  • Anticipated salary range is $90,000 - $110,000/year.
