Responsibilities

Hamilton Storage is looking for a logistics lead to join our growing team. Please review the following list of responsibilities and qualifications to determine if this is the role for you.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Drive logistic efforts in support of project milestones and timelines.
  • Partner and communicate with project leads, the procurement team, shipping and receiving, third party logistic entities, and customers to ensure the timely delivery of material in support of project milestones and timelines.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation to comply with company and project requirements.
  • Participate in RFP and carrier/vendor selection for all modes of transportation and logistics.
  • Perform implementation duties as logistic SME for new clients.
  • Process and distribute proper documentation including packing list, instructions letter and BOL to the project team and customer as needed.
  • Develop new strategies to streamline processes and reduce costs.
  • Perform metrics reporting and data analysis tasks to identify issues and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Firm grasp of supply chain, inventory, distribution, business, and management principles.
  • Strong team player.
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills.
  • Working knowledge of logistics and inventory software.
  • Ability to manage and meet schedule commitments.
  • Possess good troubleshooting skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong documentation and record keeping skills.
  • Ability to work well with engineers, management, and customers.
  • High level of self-motivation to overcome any problem that may relate to the logistics requirement of the project(s).
  • Ability to stay positive and not be discouraged by scrutiny and suggestions.
  • Understands the system installation process and how logistics impact each phase.
  • Hardworking and enthusiastic.
  • Ability to make decisions and act for customers and Project Leaders.
  • Capable of working under pressure without compromise.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in supply chain management, operations, logistics, business administration, transportation, or engineering required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in logistics, warehouse, or transportation operations required.
  • Experience in the Medical, Semi-conductor or Life Sciences industry preferred.

Additional Information

  • Willingness and flexibility to work additional hours as and when needed.
  • Position may require exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

Mid Salary

USD $75,000.00/Yr.
