Responsibilities

The Maintenance Repair Technician will support the ongoing upkeep of our properties. This includes assisting in the maintenance and repair of equipment, troubleshooting issues, and learning essential skills in electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Collaborates with experienced technicians to gain hands-on experience and ensures the efficient operation of machinery and facilities.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform routine building maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensure all restrooms are operational, stocked, and clean.
  • Maintain all break room equipment and cleanliness.
  • Ensure overall building and grounds are kept clean and presentable.
  • During winter, ensure buildings are safe.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

  • Competency in understanding, reading, and writing English required.
  • Basic knowledge of building systems (HVAC, controls, lighting, etc.)
  • Ability to perform manual labor tasks (mopping, sweeping, trash removal, etc)
  • Ability to perform light maintenance tasks (paint touch up, lubrication of locks & hinges etc)
  • Must demonstrate, with direction from management, the ability to complete tasks accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner.  
  • Demonstrate an aptitude and desire to continually develop facility and equipment maintenance and repair techniques.
  • Position includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places or exposure to chemicals.
  • Must be physically able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, stand, pull, and reach in normal equipment and facility maintenance activities - such as mowing lawns, pulling electrical cable, working overhead, relocating equipment, etc.

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma required.
  • 2-year or 4-year technical degree preferred; related experience and certifications will be considered.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience (3 years preferred) in a maintenance technician role in a manufacturing environment required, or equivalent.
  • Proficient in working with hand and power tools.

Mid Salary

USD $25.00/Hr.
