Responsibilities

As a Field Service BiOS Installation Technician, you will travel to Hamilton Storage Customer sites for new installation and trainings for 2-6 weeks at a time. Hamilton Storage Customers are located throughout the Continental United States. Once the initial set-up and training is complete you will return to the Franklin, MA facility and resume normal field service duties and responsibilities.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Perform a wide variety of mechanical, electromechanical, and electrical assemblies from engineering drawings, schematics, verbal, and written procedures.
  • Assist team members with the integration of standard and customized products to meet Customers’ requirements.
  • Troubleshoot units and perform corrections in support of the build.
  • Assist engineers on-site in testing assembly operations to manufacturing specifications.
  • Assist in preparing systems for shipment at the factory and perform on-site installations.
  • Perform testing at the system level to assess performance and validate unit functions according to specifications (in-house and at customer site).
  • Utilize a variety of electronic and/or mechanical construction equipment.
  • Lift and hold 50 lbs or more frequently.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Up to 50% domestic and international travel is expected. Travel will consist of 2–6-week durations (including weekends).

Qualifications

  • Ability to work well with engineers, management, and most importantly customers.
  • Ability to work as part of a cohesive team as well as independently.
  • Ability to manage and meet schedule commitments.
  • Adept at reading schematics and assembly drawings.
  • Able and willing to take direction.
  • Able and willing to learn.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Education/Experience

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the installation of large capital or construction equipment required.
  • Technical degree in Mechanics or Electronics or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required.
  • Experience with on-site installations of large automation capital equipment or construction size projects preferred
  • Machine shop experience preferred.
