Responsibilities

Hamilton Storage seeks a motivated, and impactful individual to join it's industry-leading US sales and marketing team.  

 

The Sales Support Engineer will supply technical pre-sales product support to the company's internal (Field Sales and in-house Product Managers) and external customers.  The job entails becoming the sales technical product Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the company's products.  The candidate must be a strong team player able to work well with both internal and external constituents at all organizational levels.  This job will report to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.  Other responsibilities include:

  • Represent the company and it's products and services to the marketplace.
  • Perform customer presentations.
  • Creat and maintain company sales presentations.
  • Make recommendations for product improvement and pricing.
  • Timely completion of assigned tasks and achievement of deadlines.
  • Attend and take part in sales meetings and trade shows.  
  • Supply product demonstrations of the company's products to prospective customers.
  • Participate in live product webinars along with Sales and Product Management personnel.
  • Creat submittals to RFQ and customer Tender submittals.
  • Generate facilities layout, MEP connections, and product drawings including renderings.
  • Maintain and support sales quoting and sales configuration tools.  
  • Execute customer site surveys for company products and resolve any non-conformities.
  • Become knowledgeable in competitive products, competitive market activity and aid Product Managers in their creation and maintenance of competition comparisons.
  • Generate and supply SolidWorks and AutoCad detail facilities layout and product drawings (including renderings) to prospective customers.
  • 10% business travel is needed within the Americas and Pacific Rim.

Qualifications

  • Possess a strong application knowledge of how the company's products and services solve customer problems and create customer value.
  • Work experience (Life Science insdustry preferred) including a minimum of 2 plus years as Sales Support Engineer and a minimum of 1 year in a Sales role preferred.
  • Strong SolidWorks and AutoCad ability and experience including rendering.  Photo realistic rendering experience is a plus.
  • Strong technical understanding of automation hardware and software.
  • MRP sales price and part number maintenance experience (Microsoft D365 preferred).
  • Sales quoting adminstration a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of computers and Windows OS.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel (including Macros and Pivot Tables), PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Good mechanical, electrical, and software skill set.
  • Facilties engineering experience a plus.
  • Refrigeration engineering/technician experience a plus.
  • Experience with implementation of capital projects.
  • Excellent verbal, written and customer presentation skills.
  • Must hold a valid US Passport.
  • Must hold a valid auto driver's license.

Education/Experience

Bachelor of Science degree required.  Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred.
